Insert the gray plastic collar, angled end down, into the spring and then insert the spring into the hole in the bottom of the foot peg.

Insert the pivot pin through the peg plate mounting tangs and hole in the peg until the bottom of the pivot pin is flush with the bottom of the lower mounting tang.

Then push the spring forward until the hole in the gray plastic collar is aligned with the bottom of the pivot pin and tap the pivot pin through the gray plastic collar.

Then insert the cotter pin through the hole in the end of the pivot pin and bend the ends of it so that it stays in place.
